You have your special and unique skill – PLAYING PIANO! WE have an answer for you: a PIANO BASH CAMP! Faculty from Wyoming Fine Arts Center and esteemed guest artists.

Do you want to know more and learn about jazz, improvisation, relationship between music and science and how it affects your brain, how to properly take care of your piano? Do you all this while also meeting and working with well-known national artists and teachers! In previous years, we hosted masterclasses held by artists of national allure, and we continue that tradition again this year. Students will work with: Dr. Richard VanDyke, Dr. Lian Tan (Miami U)Jerry Wong (Kent State), Nick Ross (Otterbein U), Irina Voro (UK).

Our goal is to provide an environment for beginning to advanced classical young pianists to learn more of their art and bond with other young pianists through their shared passion for music and the piano through level-appropriate activities. Over the past decade of tradition, the campers not only found this week a valuable experience, but a springboard for a year-long inspiration! We include various age and level appropriate activities. More advanced students do collaborative piano where they will be assigned instrumental and vocal accompanying compositions appropriate to their level and musical experience, and will be partnered with instrumentalist and a singer for coaching and practice sessions. Younger students will be exposed to and do activities from Orf, to fine arts and other music and movement activities.Camp also includes ensemble opportunities for each student. The music is sent to the applicant prior to camp commencement.
